Okay, so you bought an oversized KRPA t-shirt. Maybe three of them. And now you're standing in front of your mirror like, "But... how do I actually wear this without looking like I'm drowning?"
I get it. Oversized is the vibe but oversized also means you need to be intentional about what you pair it with. Otherwise, you end up looking like you grabbed your older sibling's shirt and called it an outfit (which, sometimes, is actually the move, but we're going for slightly more put-together energy today).
Here's the thing: one oversized KRPA tee can be at least 10 different outfits. I tested this. I wore the same black KRPA tee for two weeks straight (don't tell anyone) and literally nobody noticed because I kept styling it differently.
The Casual Errands Vibe (Tuck-in version)
What you're wearing it for: Farmers market, grocery store, that one friend's house where you don't want to try too hard but also don't want to look like you just rolled out of bed.
Oversized tee + black bike shorts + your white sneakers + a small crossbody bag. Here's the secret: tuck the front of the tee into your shorts. Not all of it—just enough so it's not completely floating. This instantly makes it look intentional instead of "I grabbed whatever was clean."
Why this works: The tuck creates proportion. Your oversized top + fitted shorts = balanced silhouette. It's giving "I have my life together" even if you're wearing what you slept in.

The "Date but Make It Casual" Fit
What you're wearing it for: Coffee date. Lunch with someone you're trying to impress. Running into that person at the mall and wanting to look effortlessly cool.
Oversized tee + cargo pants (cropped or full length) + white sneakers + a small necklace or chain you already own.
The cargo pants instantly elevate the vibe. It's still relaxed, but the functional pockets and utilitarian energy say, "I'm put-together and also I have snacks." Pair with a color combo that feels intentional—like a cream tee with olive cargo pants, or a black tee with tan cargo pants.
If you want to go extra, throw an oversized button-up shirt over the tee (worn open, unbuttoned). Layers = immediate style points.
The Loungewear-But-Make-It-Fashion
What you're wearing it for: WFH day. Staying in but might leave the house later. Comfort is non-negotiable.
Oversized tee (oversized enough that it hits mid-thigh) + oversized sweatpants (same brand, bonus points) + your messiest bun + socks with sneakers.
This is the outfit that looks effortless because it is effortless. But here's where it gets Gen Z smart: the messiness is intentional. Your bun doesn't have to be perfect. Your socks don't have to match. That's the whole point. You're anti-trying, and that's cool now.
Pair it with a graphic tee if you want something with personality or keep it neutral and let the silhouette speak for itself.
The Layering Play (When Your Oversized Tee Becomes a Base)
What you're wearing it for: Unpredictable weather. Showing off that new jacket. Looking like you actually know how to get dressed.
Oversized tee + cropped vest or oversized button-up shirt (worn open) + any bottom that fits you normally (jeans, skirt, shorts) + sneakers or boots.
The oversized tee becomes the grounding piece. It peeks out from under your vest or from the sides of your button-up, adding texture and interest. Suddenly it looks like you planned this outfit for more than 30 seconds.
Pro tip: If your button-up is also oversized (and it probably is, if you shop at KRPA), make sure the bottoms are fitted. Oversized on oversized needs a visual break, or you just look like you're wearing a tent.
The Tucked-Back Version (For People Who Like to See Their Own Legs)
What you're wearing it for: Date night. Night out with friends. Anywhere you want to look a little more intentional than usual.
Oversized tee + high-waisted shorts or skirt + tuck the back of the tee into your waistband.
This is the move your TikTok FYP has been showing you. It creates shape without being restrictive. Your shoulders and arms still feel cozy and oversized, but your legs are visible and proportional. It's actually genius.
Pair with your favorite heels, boots, or chunky sneakers, depending on vibe. This works with both neutral and graphic tees.
The Graphic Tee Statement Fit
What you're wearing it for: You finally bought a graphic tee and you want people to see it.
Oversized graphic tee + neutral bottoms (black jeans, beige sweatpants, grey shorts) + minimal accessories + let the graphic breathe.
Don't over-accessorize when the tee has a statement. Let the design be the focal point. Keep your bottoms simple, keep your shoes neutral, keep your jewelry minimal. The tee is doing the talking.
If you're self-conscious about the size, remember graphic tees are meant to be oversized. It's intentional. You're channeling late 90s/early 2000s energy, which is very Gen Z, actually.
The Oversized Shirt Moment (Borrowed from the Boys)
What you're wearing it for: You borrowed someone's shirt. Or you bought one at KRPA. Either way, it's giving main character energy.
Oversized tee (under an oversized button-up) + simple bottoms + belt to define your waist (optional, but effective) + slides or loafers.
Wear the button-up open, slightly off-shoulder, like you just borrowed it and are thriving in it. Pair with clean, simple bottoms. This is the "I woke up like this" fit, even though you definitely did not.
The Color-Blocking Play
What you're wearing it for: You want to look cool but also approachable.
Oversized tee in one color + shorts or pants in a complementary or contrasting color + oversized hoodie or windbreaker in a third color.
Gen Z love color-blocking because it's intentional and playful. A cream tee + grey shorts + a black windbreaker is giving editorial, somehow. The oversized silhouettes make it look effortless instead of trying-too-hard.
The Dress-Code-Adjacent Fit
What you're wearing it for: You have to go somewhere slightly formal, but you're not about to change who you are.
Oversized tee (neutral color, ideally) + tailored trousers or a midi skirt + blazer (oversized, obviously) + boots or clean sneakers.
This is the move when you have a family dinner or a semi-professional event but you're not about to sacrifice comfort. The oversized tee says, "I'm me," but the structured bottoms say, "I respect the occasion."
If you want to be extra Gen Z about it, pair black trousers with a cream oversized tee and an oversized black blazer. Add a gold necklace. Suddenly you look like you're about to walk into a cool independent film about your own life.
The Nostalgia Fit (Y2K Energy)
What you're wearing it for: Embracing the Y2K revival. Showing people, you understand fashion history (or at least TikTok's version of it).
Oversized tee (tucked in the front or tied at the side) + low-rise or mid-rise jeans (cropped if you have them) + chunky sneakers or platform flip-flops + a small shoulder bag.
This is the early 2000s energy, but Gen Z-coded. The oversized tee is the modern update to the baby tees of 2002. Pair with intentional nostalgia pieces, and you're not wearing a costume—you're making a statement.
The Barely-An-Outfit Outfit
What you're wearing it for: Literally just existing. Running to the bathroom. Answering the door for delivery.
Oversized tee + oversized shorts + literally nothing else.
Sometimes the best outfit is the one where you aren't thinking. KRPA's whole thing is comfort, and this is the ultimate comfort fit. If someone asks why you're dressed like that, just say, "I'm comfortable. That's what matters."
(Okay, maybe add shoes if you're leaving the house. Even Gen Z has some standards.)
The Golden Rule
Here's the thing about styling oversized pieces: oversized bottoms + oversized top = you need ONE fitted thing somewhere. It could be a fitted base layer under the tee, a belt defining your waist, or just the way you wear it with confidence.
Proportion is everything, but so is not overthinking it. The best outfit is the one where you feel like yourself, except maybe slightly cooler than usual.
And if all else fails, throw on a belt. Belts fix everything.
